Neurofascial Processing or NFP
On this page you will find resources about a technique with a busy name called Neurofascial Processing, or NFP for short. It is a simple hands on approach that anyone can do at home. It's purpose is to increase or change how different parts of the body "speak" to each other and thereby improve physical and emotional well being.
NFP is based on a book titled: Body Wisdom: Light Touch for Optimal Health

First Aid and Elimination
There are two protocols on this download, one is for general First Aid. Simply put, wherever you have an "ouch" put one hand on that place. Place the other hand on your lower back, and hold the two places for at least 15 minutes.
During the spring of 2012, we taught these techniques in Nepal. To the right is a slide show displaying the First Aid technique. |

The other protocol is for Elimination, that is, elimination of toxicities or wastes. This would, for example, be a great companion for college students who have done a little too much celebrating.
Both of these protocols can be for physical as well as emotional experiences. For example, lets us imagine that college student again. If they have broken up with their significant other, have them place one hand on their heart and the other on their lower back. This will assist with repairing a broken heart and grief recovery. Sorry, they still might have to cry a bit.
Here is the basic download to help you practice NFP. On the document, you will find some basic instructions on how to perform NFP.

Shock Protocol
In light of the Boston Marathon event, I have posted a protocol to help reduce Shock. Again, this can be useful for physical or emotional shock. I posted on the HandOverMatter website a reaction to the Boston events. Here is the blog's link: http://handovermatter.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/boston-marathon-shock/
Although the protocol is fairly simple, I hesitate because I have not provided a basic explanation about this technique. I am more motivated by the urgency of the Boston events and will have to forego that explanation. In this instance, the proof will be in the pudding, that is, you will have to try the technique on yourself, and see how it goes. I look forward to your feedback and questions.
